Our Story

Local Knowledge. Personal Service.

Malta Event Design has a team of talented individuals who are as equally inspired as they are creative, excelling in providing exceptional service. The team is led by Marvik & Anna, a husband-and-wife planning team since 2009.

We work closely with our clients not only to plan their weddings and events, but to recommend the best vendors and design each client's aesthetic vision. We operate from our studio in Luqa, where we meet and greet our clients on their arrival in Malta over a cup of coffee or a glass of bubbly.

As a fully licensed Malta Destination Weddings and Events Planner, recognised by the Malta Tourism Authority, we are authorised to design and deliver weddings and celebrations across Malta and Gozo.

Malta & Gozo

Where Your Celebration Is Held by the Islands Themselves

Some places you visit. Malta you feel - in the warmth that rises from honey-coloured stone long after the sun has gone, in the particular gold of the light here, in the way the sea is never more than a glance away. These are small islands with a long memory: nine thousand years of people who built, prayed, defended and celebrated on this same limestone, from the megalithic temples to the bastions of the Grand Harbour. When you gather your people here, you gather them inside that story.

The Maltese Islands give our hosts something most destinations cannot - grandeur and intimacy in the same breath. A palazzo that has stood for four centuries, twenty minutes from a quiet bay. A fortified terrace above the water, and a candlelit dinner for thirty inside it. Malta is compact enough that an entire celebration - the ceremony, the long feast, the unhurried evening - can unfold without anyone ever feeling rushed or moved along. Nothing here is mass-produced. Everything here has been worthy of keeping.

You will notice the light first, and then the stone, and then the sea. Valletta rises straight from the harbour, a whole city the colour of warm sand. Mdina - the Silent City - keeps its hush behind medieval walls. And everywhere the Mediterranean, impossibly blue, holding the islands like something precious set down with care.

Our Spaces

The Kinds of Spaces We Open for You

We don't work from a catalogue, and we won't send you a list. Part of what we do is open doors that are usually closed - and where the most extraordinary of those doors lead, we'd rather show you in person, once we know you. But so you can feel the shape of what's possible:

Private baroque palazzi, where a walled garden opens to the evening and dinner is laid beneath original frescoes.

Turreted castelli rising from the countryside, with grounds of their own and not a neighbour in sight.

Sea-facing forts and bastions - sixteenth-century stone meeting open water - for the kind of dinner guests describe for years.

Members' palazzi on the capital's grandest squares, ordinarily reserved, opened for one evening that belongs entirely to you.

Heritage interiors and chapels, rare and protected, given over for a single night to no one but your people.

Clifftop villas set high above the sea, where the terrace ends and the Mediterranean simply begins.

Which of these becomes yours depends on you - on the season, the number around your table, and the feeling you want your guests to carry home. That is the conversation we love to have.

The Quieter Sister

And Then There Is Gozo

Malta's quieter sister is a short crossing and an entirely different rhythm. Gozo is slower, greener, more elemental - a place of golden cliffs, salt pans, and the Citadella standing watch over a single small city. Couples come here for intimacy: a celebration that feels less like an event and more like being let into a secret. We keep our own collection of Gozitan farmhouses and hideaways, so the days around your celebration can be as gentle and unhurried as the evening itself.

Our Promise

Held, from the First Email to the Last Dance

Choosing a destination should feel like the beginning of something, never a logistical weight. Everything between the dream and the day - the permits, the suppliers, the timings, the thousand small decisions - is ours to carry, precisely and quietly, so that you arrive to nothing but the celebration. That is the promise behind every space we open: the islands at their most beautiful, and you entirely free to enjoy them.
